Chris Hogan's Gourd Art is usually Done with all natural Materials. The gourds are grown in her own garden.

Most of her gourd decorations are a combination of Palm tree seed fronds, Philodendron leaf sheaths, Pine needles, Gem stones and other natural materials.

Gourds have been used all over the world for centuries as utilitarian and ceremonial objects, predating pottery.
